SR161 & I-270 InterchangeDescription:
Total reconstruction and reconfiguration of the interchange of four-lane St. Rt. 161 with six-lane section of Interstate 270 west of New Albany. The project also includes reconfiguration of the interchange with Sunbury Road. It removes an existing bottleneck for west-bound commuter traffic and Port Columbus Airport traffic.Corridor: For the corridor, it represented an important first step in overall corridor improvement.
Multi-Modal: It improved access to Port Columbus airport. It also relieved congestion on existing transit and van pool connections.

Next Step: The project is substantially complete and opened in November 2007.
